8 Days/7 Nights
Day 1
- Arrive into London where your private motor-coach and professional
Tour Manager await to greet you. Well head straight into the
city to your hotel where, after check-in, your afternoon and evening
are at leisure after your long flight.
Overnight London
Day 2 - Full English breakfast and then we head into Englands
capital city. Well take a short panoramic tour of the major
sights including Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Tower Bridge
and the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. The afternoon is free perhaps
head to London Zoo. It was here that Harry learned of his ability
to speak to snakes and you can stand in the very same spot as Harry
did in the Reptile House! Enjoy seeing the other creatures here too
which include elephants, tigers, lions and gorillas.

Day 3 - Breakfast and then pack your trunk as we head for Kings
Cross Station. Take a while to try to find the entrance to Platform
9 ¾ (be careful - the walls are really very hard!) before boarding
a coach to Gloucester and it's famous Cathedral. Here you can see
the cloisters which featured in the film and Kings School (whos
pupils were used as extras in the films!). And of course you can also
admire the beauty of the cathedral itself before we head to our overnight
hotel.

Day 4 - After breakfast we head to Chippenham where well
see Lacock Abbey. This is where the scenes of Harrys classroom
where filmed and is set amidst wonderful scenery and pretty villages.
Well also make a stop in the pretty town of Chipping Sodbury
where Joanne Kathleen Rowling was born on July 31 1965. Onwards then
to Oxford. Here well take a guided tour of Oxford to include
Christ Church (Hogwarts school interiors) and the Bodleian Library
(also used as interiors of the school). The citys links to Lewis
Carroll (Alice in Wonderland) will also feature. Onwards then to our
overnight hotel.
Overnight Oxford (B)
Day 5 - We head north today and head through the English Midlands
to the ancient Roman city of York. After a short panoramic tour to
get your bearings your afternoon has been left at your
leisure to explore this compact and fascinating city. You may choose
to visit the Minster (the largest Gothic cathedral in Europe), the
Jorvik Centre (a recreation of Viking York with authentic smells!),
stroll the Shambles (medieval shopping street) or walk
the almost complete Roman city walls.
Overnight York (B)
Day 6 - Todays first destination is the small town of
Goathland. Goathland Station was turned into "Hogsmead"
where the school of wizardry and witchcraft is based. The railway's
shop on the platform was transformed into the "Prefect's Room"
and the Ladies toilets became the "Wizard's Room". Here
well wait on the same platform as Harry did for a steam train
to arrive! Then well take a short magical journey across the
wonderful North Yorks Moors to Pickering where our coach awaits. Onwards
then to Alnwick Castle. This massive fortress in home to the Duke
of Northumberland and was used for the exterior shots of Hogwarts
as well as Madame Hoochs flying lessons and Quidditch games!
Overnight Newcastle area(B)
Day 7 Today we head back to London. This will be a long driving
day so sit back and watch England glide by through the window of your
luxury motor coach. Arriving into London in the late afternoon, well
check into our hotel and have a little time at leisure before enjoying
dinner to celebtarte the end your tour of Harry Potters England!
Overnight London (B,D)
Day 8 - Breakfast and then your Tour Manager awaits to accompany
you back to the airport for your return flight. Breakfast.
