DAY
ONE
Your tour starts in Edinburgh with a visit to the Zoo to see the owls
similar to Harry's, Hedwig. If time allows, take a hop on hop off
sightseeing tour of Edinburgh. The brave and curious will want to
join Edinburgh's famous evening Ghost Walks.
Stay overnight in Edinburgh.
DAY
TWO
Pick up your rental car and drive south into England to Alnwick Castle,
the Castle courtyard was the location for scenes at Hogwarts School.
En route to Alnwick, you have a choice of three fine attractions:
The magical Holy Island which can only be reached by the tidal causeway,
a boat trip to the Farne Islands to see the bird life and seals or
Bamburgh Castle which is spectacularly set above the sea and sweeping,
sand beach.

DAY
THREE
Drive south through the pretty fishing village of Whitby, the birthplace
for Captain Cook and Bram Stoker, author of Dracula. Enter the North
Yorkshire Moors National Parks to see Goathland Station, which was
transformed into Hogsmead Station where Harry arrived for his first
year at Hogwarts School of Wizardry. Take a nostalgic steam train
journey or continue through the National Park to beautiful stately
house of Castle Howard.

DAY
FOUR
Spend the day exploring the historic city of York with its National
Railway Museum, the Castle (folk life) Museum and Jorvik Viking Experience.
York Minster, one of England's finest Cathedrals and the medieval
city walls and old streets and buildings all creates a wonderful days
sightseeing on foot or by an open top bus tour. In the evening a Ghost
walk will show an altogether different and spookier city.

FIVE
Head for border back to Scotland making a stop at Durham Cathedral
where the Christmas Scenes were filmed. Continue over the Cheviot
Hills through the Northumbrian National Park into the Scottish Borders
famous for the Scottish Tweeds and Woollen Mills and shops and onto
Edinburgh to return your hire car
