Ballimore
- Otter Ferry, Argyll, 24 miles west of Dunoon
Closed in August. Ballimore Estate is situated on the east shore
of Loch Fyne, an area which boasts some of the most beautiful
scenery in Europe. We offer comfortable accommodation in our Scottish
home, built in 1836. Log fires blaze whilst you enjoy excellent
local food, including game, fish and oysters from the estate.
It is an excellent location from which to tour the west coast
of Scotland with many tourist attractions within easy reach. Tennis

Barcaldine

Barcaldine House is a famous Campbell stronghold built by "Red
Patrick" in 1709. The house has been tastefully modernised
to provide comfortable accommodation which includes an oak panelled
billiard room with vaulted ceiling. It is ideally situated to
explore the west coast of Scotland. Dinner is served in the magnificent
dining room in a friendly and homely atmosphere. The best of Scottish
produce is used in the preparation of their meals, this combined

Blervie

Built in 1776 from the stone of the ruined Blervie Castle, Blervie
has been carefully restored to its use as a family house. Situated
between the East and West Highlands, only twenty minutes from
Inverness Airport, it is an ideal base from which to tour the
diverse areas of the North. Fiona and Paddy enjoy acquainting
their guests with the local features and culture, and making them
feel at home among tasteful furnishings and antique furniture.
Dinner is served in the elegant dining room and features game
dishes, local produce and fresh garden vegetables.

Cunnoquhie
House - Cunnoquhie, Letham, Cupar, Fife - 14 miles west of
St. Andrews
Cunnoquhie has been built in two centuries. The older part in
about 1750 and the beautifully proportioned elegant rooms were
added in about 1820. The view to the south is magnificent and
on clear days the hills beyond Edinburgh can be seen. The Kingdom
of Fife has a wealth of historic places to visit. St. Andrews
University is the 5th oldest in the world and the town has been
the home of golf for centuries. Fife has over 39 golf courses.
The hosts ask that food kindly not be brought into the house,
but there are many delightful country restaurants within a few
miles. A good breakfast is given to start visitors' day off well.

Castle. An ancient sandstone fortress dating from the 14th Century,
Ethie is reputed to be Scotland's second oldest permanently inhabited
castle. It was immortalised by Sir Walter Scott as 'Knockwinnoch'
in the novel 'The Antiquary'. Ethie is now a haven of hospitality
and peace. Situated in Scotland's kitchen garden all produce used
at Ethie is of the freshest and highest standard. Who can resist
a famous Arbroath Smokie for breakfast? Each
bedroom is unique with a homely feel. One room has a superking

courses, pony-trekking, tennis, swimming, skiing, walking and
mountaineering. Explore the "Whisky Trail" or visit
local estates, offereing clay pigeon shooting and fishing. Loch
Ness is about 40 minutes by car.

log fire or walk in the garden and amenity woods. Juliet enjoys
cooking and will provide a dinner, by arrangement, using fresh
vegetables and fruit from the garden when in season.
