ITINERARY 27th February - 7th March 2004 Day
1 - 27
February Arrive LGW or LHR where we will meet and escort the group
to Royal Tunbridge Wells. On the way, depending on the time of day,
we could have a coffee stop at a fascinating, privately owned stately
home. Into Royal Tunbridge Wells.
Day
3 - 29 February Later start for a second day at Detling to allow
time for an early evening supper at an ancient Kent coaching inn. Day
4 - 1 March Into Royal Tunbridge Wells for some antique hunting
in / around the ancient Pantiles area and then off to Brighton. Time
permitting a 3.30/4pm look at the exotic Royal Pavilion (www.royalpavilion.org.uk)
Dinner independently in Brighton. Day
5 - 2 March To the even bigger Antiques and Collectors Fair at
nearby Ardingly. Dinner independently in Brighton. Day
6 - 3 March Another day at Ardingly or browsing in the Lanes,
the North Lanes or Kemp Town areas of the city. Dinner independently. Day
7 - 4 March To Dorking where on / off the town's High Street,
there are no fewer than 60 antique shops. Then into London for the
3 night extension, or to LGW / LHR for the return flight home. Day
8 - For those staying on, into London, 3 nights. Theatre tickets
can be purchased as required, in advance. Day
9 - 5 March Independently to Bermondsey Market (open between 5am
and 1pm). Balance of the day at leisure. Friday Overnight London Day
10 - 6 March Independently to Portobello Road (open 8.30am-5.30pm),
to Camden Passage (open 9am-4pm) or to other places of their choice. Day
11 - 7 March Airport transfers. B
