Malt Whisky Cruise
7 Nights / 8 Days

The combination of mountains and sea provides the dramatic backdrop to a Malt Whisky Cruise through Scotland's West Coast and its Islands. Using a beautifully appointed yacht, the emphasis is on exciting sailing, exploration of the Islands and varied coastline, and enjoyment of some of Scotland's finest malt whisky. Both novice and experienced sailors are equally welcome with the opportunity to develop your sailing skills during the week.

Day 1 - Arisaig and the Road to the Isles
Meet in Arisaig for discussion on the week's itinerary.

Day 2 - Loch Nevis and Knoydart
Meet up wiht our Oyster 46 yacht and learn its workings. The first possible destination is the village of Inverie, situated on Knoydart Peninsula by the shores of Loch Nevis. Opportunity to visit The Old Forge, the most remote pub on the UK mainland.

Day 3 - The Sound of Sleat and Loch Scavaig
Cross the Sound of Sleat towards the Isle of Skye. Wildlife viewing opportunities of seabirds, seals, porpoises, and dolphins are excellent. Anchor in the shelter of Loch Coruisk, enjoying an on-board whisky tasting.

Day 4 - Loch Coruisk
Row ashore to Loch Coruisk with opportunity to climb Sgurr na Stri for breathtaking views of the Cullin mountains. Return to the yacht and continue along the West Coast of Skye to Talisker Bay.

Day 5 - Talisker Distillery
Visit Talisker Distillery to learn of the distilling process and sample the malt. Take open passage Southwest to the mysterious Island of Rum. Minkie Whales are regularly sighted in this stretch of water.

Day 6 - The Isle of Rum
Explore the island which is a nature reserve that is owned and managed by Scottish Natural Heritage, with approximately 200 species of birds. Visit to Kinloch Castle included.

Day 7 - The Return ot Arisaig
Set sail for the mainland. Crossing the Sound of Rum we pass the Isle of Eigg and onwards to Arisaig. Celebrate a successful voyage with some of Scotland's finest Malt Whisky.

Day 8 - Departure from Arisaig
Sadly the time has come for you to bid farewell to your skipper and depart for your journey home.
